A guide for parents on how to set up parental controls on their child’s devices and monitor their academic progress through ROCS tools.

Monitoring Progress through Acellus:

  1. Parent Access:

    • Acellus provides parent access where you can view your child’s progress, grades, and assignments.
    • Set up your parent account at acellus.com.
  2. Weekly Progress Reports:

    • Acellus sends out weekly progress reports via email. These reports provide an overview of your child’s performance in each course.

Tools for Keeping Your Child Safe Online:

  1. GoGuardian:

    • GoGuardian is pre-installed on ROCS Chromebooks to help keep students safe online. It monitors student activity and provides alerts if inappropriate content is accessed.
  2. Parental Involvement:

    • Regularly discuss online safety with your child. Encourage them to talk about their online experiences and report anything that makes them uncomfortable.
