Getting Started with Your ROCS Chromebook and Acellus

This guide provides everything you need to know to get started with your ROCS Chromebook and Acellus platform, from unboxing to your first lesson.


Setting Up Your Chromebook:

  1. Unbox and Power On:

    • Press the Power button on your Chromebook to turn it on.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to select your language and connect to your home WiFi.
  2. Sign In with Your ROCS Account:

    • Use your ROCS email (firstname.lastname@rocs.org) to sign in.
    • For first-time logins, you’ll need the temporary password provided by your advisor. Contact support if you haven’t received it.
  3. Update Your Chromebook:

    • Ensure your Chromebook is fully updated by checking for updates in the settings. This will help prevent any issues during your lessons.
  4. Install Necessary Extensions:

    • If your teacher has recommended any Chrome extensions, make sure to install them before starting your lessons.


Logging into Acellus:

  1. Access the Acellus Platform:

    • Go to signin.acellus.com using the Chrome browser on your Chromebook.
    • Enter your ROCS username and password.
  2. Navigating the Dashboard:

    • Once logged in, your Acellus dashboard will display all the courses you’re enrolled in.
    • Click on a course to start your lessons.
  3. Start Your First Lesson:

    • Click on the first lesson in your course. Watch the instructional video and complete the accompanying quiz.
    • Acellus will automatically track your progress and save your work.
